Helen Louise Ewing, 86, of Edgewood, MD, passed away on May 6, 2015 at her home. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, she was the daughter of the late Loudon Grafton Hooker and Mary Katherine (Sullivan) Hooker and wife of the late James P. "Cotton" Osborn. She retired from the United States Postal Service in 1989 where she had worked as a clerk. A member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, she enjoyed housekeeping, doing yard work and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved the Ravens and the Orioles, and working crossword puzzles.
Mrs. Ewing is survived by her son, Donald Edward Ewing Sr. of Havre de Grace; daughter, Linda Ewing Taylor and husband, Bob, of St. Mary's City; stepdaughter, Nancy Osborn Chester and husband, Keith of Bel Air; stepdaughter-in-law, Susan Osborn of Bel Air; brother, Edward Hooker and wife, Rose of Havre de Grace; and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Hazel Ann Ewing; and stepson, Bradley Osborn.
