Helen L. Jacobs, passed away on April 2, 2024, at the age of 98, at York Memorial Hospital in York, PA. Helen's journey began in Towson, Maryland, where she was born to the late George and Laura (Simms) Heubeck, and later became the beloved wife of the late Clayton Albert Jacobs, Sr.
Helen's devotion to her late husband Clayton remained steadfast throughout the thirty-four years since his passing. She cherished every memory of their enduring love that was often found within love letters he penned during his military service. Their many trips to Williamsburg remained etched in her heart, a testament to their deep bond.
Helen’s unwavering faith and dedication to Fairview United Methodist Church in Phoenix, MD, spanned over four decades, where she generously shared her musical talents by playing the church organ weekly.
As the first in her family to graduate from High School, Helen epitomized resilience and determination. Her family fondly remembers her as a beacon of stability and reliability, always ready to share in their joys. Helen also had a passion for flower gardening and honed her skills as a talented seamstress. In more recent times, she found solace and connection through games like Words With Friends, using it as a means to stay close to her family, as well as discovering the newest additions to her digital photo frame.
Helen is survived by her devoted sons, Clayton Jacobs, Jr., Kenneth (Lori) Jacobs, and Gregory (Holly) Jacobs. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, embodied in her grandchildren: Joey (Steve) Wisner, Jenny (Matthew) Ford, Eric Jacobs, Kelly (Eirik) Jacobs, Ellie (Casey) Jacobs, and Jacob (Bonnie) Leister. Her memory also lives on through her great-grandchildren: Matt, Jack, Jayden, Bentlee, Keagan, Gabriel, Jacob, Astrid, and Freya.
In addition to her husband and parents, Helen was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Billie Jacobs and her sister, Pearl Virginia Simms.
