HELEN “BOBBY” HOPKINS SPICER, age 83, of Bel Air, MD, died on November 1, 2006 at Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Belcamp, MD. Born in Bel Air, MD, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Howard and Cora Estelle Day Hopkins and the wife of the late J. Lester Spicer. She was a procurement supervisor for the U. S. Government at APG, retiring after 25 years. She was a member of Bel Air United Methodist Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post # 39.
Mrs. Spicer is survived by one sister, Dorothy M. Graybeal, of Johnson City, TN; four grandchildren, Stephanie Flannery of Bel Air, MD, Jeffrey Anthony of Elkridge, MD, Kirk Anthony of Bel Air, MD and Tom Sewitsky III of Raleigh, NC; and six great-grandchildren, Tyler Anthony and Kyle Anthony both of Bel Air, MD, Paige Flannery of Bel Air, MD, Connor Sewitsky, Alexa Sewitsky and Hayden Sewitsky, all of Raleigh NC.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two daughters, Audrey M. Anthony and Beverly A. Spicer; one brother Johnnie Hopkins; and two sisters, Cora H. Ward and Morrell Bearsch.
