Helen Hackett

Helen Hackett, age 96, of Joppa, Maryland passed away on February 6, 2023 at her home. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Andrew and Henrietta Hoffman and wife of the late F. Joseph Hackett. Born and raised in the Patterson Park area, Helen spent most of her life as a resident of Joppa. She was a lifetime member of Mountain Christian Church and was a member of the chancel choir for over 40 years. She owned and operated a filling station with her husband in Essex, was a phone operator for C&P telephone company and also worked as an accountant for the Department of Army at the Edgewood Arsenal.

Helen had no living relatives, but she is survived by many friends and fellow church members.
