Helen Gill Williams

Helen Gill Williams of Bel Air, MD, daughter of the late Frank and Stella Savitsky was born on July 16, 1925 in Brandonville, PA and departed on August 8, 2014. A graduate of Sheppton High School and received her nursing degree from The Nursing Cadet Corps, Philadelphia General Hospital. She retired from the Kirk Army Hospital at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD after 25 years of federal service.

She is survived by her brother, Leonard Savitsky of Ringtown, PA. She was predeceased by her brothers Frank and Stanley Savitsky, sister Lucy Grochowski of Shenandoah, PA, two loving children Melanie France and Frank Gill of Bel Air, MD, and husbands Frank Gill (deceased 1989) and Fletcher Williams (deceased 2008).

She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter Mary Leavens and husband Gary of Bel Air, MD, stepson Fletcher Williams of Elkton, MD, stepdaughter Elizabeth George of Newark, DE, grand children Tyler and Ashley Leavens of Bel Air, MD, Robert Gill of Randallstown, MD and Ryan Gill of Westminster, MD, Sean Williams and Derick, Jason, and Nicholas George, and God Daughter Tina Ackell of Frackville, PA.

She loved birds and flowers and was a Red Cross volunteer, but her family was her life. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a devoted member of St. Ignatius church of Forest Hill, MD. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Diabetes and Cancer Society's or St. Ignatius church in her memory.
