HELEN F. JOHNSON, age 81, of Joppa, died at her home on September 23, 2005. Born in Bradshaw, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Frances Sutosh Szukievitz, and the wife of the late Harry F. Johnson. She enjoyed collecting movie star dolls. She crocheted baby hats for local hospitals and pregnancy centers, and made slippers and afghans for local nursing homes. She was a member of Our Lady’s Rosary Makers and a past member of Catholic Daughters of America Court John F. Kennedy #1957. She had attended St. Stephen Catholic Church in Bradshaw, Maryland.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by one son, Kenneth H. Johnson of Joppa; one daughter, Joan Johnson Dinsmore and her husband, Paul R. Dinsmore of North East, Maryland; one grandson, four granddaughters, one great-grandson, and five great-granddaughters. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one brother, Joseph Szukievitz; two sisters, Agnes Tadayski and Mary Szukievitz, a daughter-in-law, Kathleen MacKay Johnson; and a granddaughter, Linda Kay Johnson.
