Helen E. Kelley Brackins

Helen E. Kelley Brackins, age 93, of LaPlata, MD, died on January 12, 2009 at Charles County Nursing Home in LaPlata, MD. Born in Maynard, IA, she was the daughter of the late Hiram Arthur and Edna Mildred Winters Fay, and wife of the late Edward S. Kelley and Wayne Brackins. Formerly of Edgewood and Aberdeen for many years, she was a past member of Bel Air United Methodist Church. She was always a caretaker to anybody who needed help, loved to cook and bake, and loved her dogs.

Mrs. Brackins is survived by her son, Richard H. Kelley of LaPlata, MD; daughters, Edna M. Dean of Phoenix, AZ, Tonya Propst and Christina Brackins, both of Waynesboro, VA; step son, Gerald W. Brackins of Edgewood, MD; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and thirteen great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by sons, Edward S. Kelley and Fred Kelley; and daughters, Mae Nemiec and Darlene Kelley.
