Helen G. Dorman

Helen G. Dorman, age 91, of Forest Hill, Maryland, passed away on July 23, 2024, at Brightview Assisted Living of Bel Air. Born in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Reed) Cochran and the beloved wife of the late Donald William Dorman.

Helen was a devoted member of the Long Green Valley Church of the Brethren for most of her life and recently attended Grandview Christian Church with her daughter, Joanna. Professionally, Helen was a skilled cosmetologist who expressed her creativity through her artistry and love for painting. She also enjoyed playing the piano and will be fondly remembered for her infectious laughter, especially shared with her daughter.

Helen is survived by her loving daughter, Joanna (John) Smith; her cherished grandchildren, Melissa (Robert) Levy and Heather (Kevin) Smeltzer; and her adored great-granddaughters, Leota Fullano and Hannah Mickey.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ted Cochran, Ralph Cochran, Richard Cochran, and Wallace Cochran, and her sister, Edna Barringer.

Helen will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and artistic talent will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
