Helen Lomp Carden

Helen Lomp Carden, age 73, of Edgewood, Maryland passed away on September 1, 2023 surrounded by love.  Born in Towson, Maryland, she was the daughter of Louis Lomp, Jr. and Adelaide (Wheeler) Lomp and wife of 54 years to the late Mark D. Carden. She worked as a Security Specialist for a government contractor and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for VFW Post 5337 and Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 17 where she held several positions. Helen was a devoted grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed making Easter candy with the grand kids and doing the Thanksgiving Day stuffing. She enjoyed going to the beach and loved betting on the horses. She was a devoted friend to all.
     
Helen is survived by her son Jeffrey (Joanne) Carden; daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Manthei grandsons, Jacob, Andrew, and Kirk; granddaughters, Lauren, Rileigh, Jennifer, Nicole, Ericka; and Emily and great grandchildren, Illyanna, Angelo, Christian, Mia, Jaxon, Kadian, Penelope and Malcolm.
 
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward Lomp and Louie Lomp.
