Hazel Wildason Wells, age 93, of Bel Air, MD, died on May 17, 2009 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Bel Air, MD, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Emma Miller Wildason and wife of the late John E. Wells. A lifelong resident of Harford County, she was a life member of Bel Air United Methodist Church. She met her husband at the Bel Air Race Track of which he was the architect and superintendent, and later worked at the Buffeteria in Montgomery Wards at Harford Mall. She loved her family and enjoyed gardening, reading, and traveling. She will be remembered for many things, including her great sense of humor, generosity, and her ability to see the good in everyone and everything.
Mrs. Wells is survived by and will be greatly missed by her daughters, Elaine Evans of Joppa, MD, Joan Calder of Forest Hill, MD, and Carolyn Wells and her husband, Al Auckland, of Bel Air, MD; sister-in-law, Katherine Wildason of New Freedom, PA; four grandchildren, Robin Brocato, Tammy Vanarsdale, Donna Archer and Donna Cranford; five great-grandchildren, Scott Taylor, Joseph Brocato, Jordyn Vanarsdale, Colby Cranford, and Dawson Cranford; and one great-great-grandchild, Cameron Taylor. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sons, William and Donald Calder.
