Hazel Szatmary

Hazel Szatmary, 92, of Bel Air, MD, formerly of Queens, NY, passed away on July 3, 2015 at Brightview Assisted Living in Bel Air, MD. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late William Christian Gehrhardt Sr. and Hazel Magdelin Berberich Gehrhardt, and was the wife of the late Henry Szatmary. She was a member of Smith's Chapel United Methodist Church and enjoyed knitting and crocheting blankets for many organizations. She enjoyed welcoming residents to Brightview and made sure that all residents who went to the hospital received a card.

Mrs. Szatmary is survived by her sons, Ray L. Szatmary of Sellersville, PA, Paul W. Szatmary of Bel Air and Bart H. Szatmary of Port Deposit; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, William Christian Gehrhardt Jr, and Carolyn Cassingham.
