Hazel B. Shaeffer

Hazel B. Shaeffer, age 80, of Forest Hill, MD, passed away on July 21, 2012 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Grassy Creek, NC, she was the daughter of the late Calvin Lester and Grace Beatrice Burkett Blevins and wife of the late Melvin W. Shaeffer. She was a member of Bel Forest Baptist Church in Bel Air and enjoyed sewing, swimming and being with her family.

Mrs. Shaeffer is survived by her son, Larry Wyatt Shaeffer of Forest Hill, MD; daughters, Carolyn Jean Tabor and husband, Gene, of Bel Air, MD, Sharon Ann Husbon and husband, Bill, of Delta, PA and Deborah L. Steelman and husband, Sidney, of Havre de Grace, MD; brothers, Harold Blevins of Bel Air, MD and Brian Blevins of Roanoke, VA; sisters, Daphne Lambert of Jefferson, NC and Wanda Blevins of Salem, VA; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Matthew Shaeffer, Ian Matthews, Zachary Steelman, Grant Steelman, Randy Blevins and Chuck Stevens.
