Hattie Jo Parks

Hattie Jo Parks, 77, died December 8, 2017 in Vero Beach, Florida.
Ms. Parks was born in Grayson County, Virginia and has been a resident of Fort Pierce, Florida for the past 38 years coming from Churchville, Maryland.

Hattie worked at Bata Shoe Factory in Belcamp, Maryland for 10 years before moving to Florida. She retired after 25 years of service in the custodial department of Indian River Community College, Fort Pierce, Florida. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and was quite the expert. She also enjoyed arts and craft projects and creating and re-purposing all sorts of things. She liked the outdoors and gardening. And of course, "Aunt Hattie" loved to spoil little children!

She is survived by her sisters, Jessie M. Parks-Cox, of Vero Beach, FL and Lillie P. Curry-Gerwan, of Fort Pierce, Florida; brother, David Parks, of Maryland and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, Vance and Lillie Testerman Parks; brother, Ernest Parks.
