Hattie Jean Bonham

Hattie Jean Bonham, age 81, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on October 13, 2024, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Bessie (Billings) Billings and the beloved wife of Robert William Bonham, with whom she shared 61 wonderful years of marriage.

Hattie was a proud graduate of North High School in Mountain View, North Carolina. Throughout her career, she worked as an assembly line worker at the Bata Shoe Company, a seamstress at Glen Eagles, and later in the salad bar prep area at Weis Market in Bel Air. Outside of work, she found joy in shopping, visiting the beach, camping, and, most of all, spending cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Hattie is survived by her devoted husband, Robert; her loving daughters, Joyce (Robert) Lynch and Debra (Mark) Hoffman; grandchildren, Kimberly Bauguess, April Bauguess, David Bauguess, Daniel Lynch, and Michael (Sarah) Lynch; and her adored great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jon, Allison, Carly, Maci, Elizabeth, and Michael Jr. (MJ). She is also survived by her sisters, Betty Thompson, and Mary Evelyn Bowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Joanne Billings, Otto Billings, Dwight Billings, Naomi Billings, and Josephine Stamper.
