Harvey Lee Fisher, of Havre de Grace, MD, died on December 1, 2009, from injuries sustained in a car accident in Baltimore. He was 62. Born February 17, 1947 in Havre de Grace, he was the son of the late Chandler Taylor and Dorothy Elizabeth Timmons. He worked as a truck driver for Bel Air Road Supply Company for 22 years. He enjoyed gardening and riding his 1972 C10 custom Chevrolet pick up truck. He also liked to spend time with his family, as well as, take care of his pets, Star and OC. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Fisher is survived by his wife of 38 years, Judy Aline Spurlin Fisher; two sons, Danny L. Fisher Sr. and his wife, Gretchen, of Abingdon, MD and Kenneth D. Fisher and his wife, Beth, of Havre de Grace, MD; daughter, Dorothy J. Newcomer and her husband, Phillip, of Bel Air, MD; two brothers, Wayne Fisher and his wife, Ellen, of Holtwood, PA, and Norman Fisher of Chase, MD; three sisters, Ruth Bowling of PA, Suzie Turner of Aberdeen, MD, and Sally Anderson and husband, Andy, of WI; seven grandchildren Katie Fisher and Rebecca Simmons of Havre de Grace, MD, Deanna, Cara, and Phillip Newcomer of Bel Air, MD, and Danny and Haley Fisher of Abingdon, MD. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Belford R. Jones.
Pallbearers will be Dewey, Keith, and Kenny Spurlin, Danny and Kenny Fisher, and Phillip Newcomer. Honorary pallbearers will be Rebecca Simmons, Katie Fisher, Deanna Newcomer, Danny Fisher Jr., Cara Newcomer, Haley Fisher, and Phillip Newcomer.
