Hartzell Hewitt

Hartzell Hewitt, age 91, of Darlington, MD, died on October 29, 2010 at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Robert Cochran and Ella Olivia Price Hewitt, and husband, for 62 years, of the late Mary A. Hewitt. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he had worked as a crane operator for Bethlehem Steel, and was a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association. He loved shooting sports, working with wood, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hewitt is survived by his sons, Leroy Hartzell Hewitt of Cooksville, MD and Troy Allen Hewitt of Darlington, MD; grandchildren, Leroy Hartzell Hewitt Jr. of Cooksville, MD, Kelly Lynn Angleburger of Frederick, MD, Jennifer Marie Hewitt of Baltimore, MD, and Albert Leroy Hewitt and Madeline Cresta Hewitt, both of Darlington, MD; and two great-grandchildren, Victoria Marie Hewitt and Brandon Alexander Hewitt, both of Cooksville, MD. In addition to his parents and husband, he was predeceased by his son, Dennis Wayne Hewitt.
