Harry Nelson Blizzard, age 85, of Havre de Grace, Maryland passed away on September 29, 2020 at his home. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Henry and Virginia Blizzard and husband of Janet Leigh (Zittle) Blizzard. Owned and operated Blizzard Instrument Services where his work ethic and values became a staple for the way in which he led his life and achieved many successes. He was a sports fanatic, especially the Colts and then the Ravens, always supported the home town teams and could often be found at his family's sporting events and was never afraid to have his voice heard cheering in the stands. Harry enjoyed bowling and played in leagues throughout his life, and never missed an opportunity to play a round of golf.
If there is one thing that Harry was passionate about above all else, was his relationship with his bride of 68 married years and over 70 years together. Married on October 31, 1952, Harry was a dedicated and loving husband who made it his priority to never go to bed angry, and made true on that promise to the very end.
In addition to his wife, Harry is survived by his three sons, Robert, Thomas, and Michael Blizzard; seven grandchildren, Heather, Timothy, Jacquelyn, Nicole, Karissa, Lindsay, and Nolan; seven great grandchildren, Paige, Brooke, Leah, Avery, Mya, Anthony, and Ava.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Blizzard, Mary Jane Kettermen, and Barb Knoppenberger.
