Harry J. Fina

July 22, 1926 — September 10, 2016

Harry J. Fina, of Bel Air, MD, died at the age of 90 on September 10, 2016 at Hart Heritage Estates in Forest Hill. He was born in Philadelphia, PA to Harry John and Anna Onycshulk Fina and was the husband of the late Lillian Josephine Simpson Fina. He served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of the American Legion in Bel Air where he held various Official volunteer positions. An avid and accomplished boater, Harry was the President of the Dundalk Power Squadron several times, as he and his wife Lillian boated up and down the Chesapeake Bay for many years.

He designed and built his first family home and then went on to build furniture, household items, gifts etc. for his family members. These treasured items will be passed down to future generations. Harry's mechanical skills repaired many family cars, appliances, and household items. He was the king of creative solutions to mechanical problems and had the workroom to prove it, stocked with tools needed to repair anything. Many of these tools were passed down to him from his father and now are in the hands of his grandchildren.

Harry volunteered to feed the needy and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He dearly loved his family and especially his grandchildren whom he provided a car to when they graduated from college.

Harry's survivors include his daughters, Patricia Fina (Woodward) Weaver (S. David) of Hanover, PA, Joyce Fina of Palm Bay, FL and Joanne Mauldin (Edward) of Bel Air, MD; grandchildren, Jason D. Woodward, Rachel Woodward Early (William), Alex Evans (Angela), Victoria Evans, Jack Evans, Corin Mauldin and Heather Clendenin (Steven); and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brother, George Fina.
