HARRY CHARLES GLOVER, SR., age 79, of Joppatowne, MD died at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD on December 3, 2007. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Joshua Glover and the late Emilie Sharpe Currey. He retired from E.F. Houghton International on September 30, 1993 after 46 years of service as a sales representative. He was a member of the American Society of Metals. He served in the US Army. An avid wooden model boat builder, he was a member of the Maritime Museum, and Chesapeake Boat Builders in Havre de Grace, MD.
Mr. Glover is survived by his wife of 57 years, Vivian J. May Glover of Joppatowne, MD; three sons, Harry C. Glover, Jr. and his wife, Sandy Glover, of Croydon, PA, David A. Glover and his wife, Karen D. McFaul-Glover, of Abingdon, MD, and Peter J. Glover, Sr. and his wife, Juanita, of Joppatowne, MD; and two daughters, Lee Ann Glover of Rice, Washington and Gail Glover of Brookeville, FL; 16 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Maritime Museum/Chesapeake Wooden Boat Builders School.
