Harriette Herrman, age 101, of Bel Air, MD, died on December 5, 2010 at Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center in Forest Hill, MD. She was a homemaker who attracted a multitude of friends everywhere she went. She was born Harriette Minson in Washington, DC in 1909. Only a week old when her mother died, her aunt, Harriette and her husband, Ward Davis, took her and her five year old sister to raise. From the beginning of her life until the end, she never knew a stranger, and was well loved by everyone who met her. She and her sister grew up in Brandywine, MD where Harriette graduated from their high school. Shortly thereafter, she married Russell Herrman, a telephone repairman she met while he was working in southern Maryland. They spent most of their married life at 5806 Clearspring Road in Baltimore, MD.
She was an active member of Gregory Memorial Baptist Church. When her husband died in 1973, she began renting to Mormon Missionaries which she continued to do into her late eighties.
She is survived by a daughter, Edith Boggs and her husband, Harold, of Bel Air, MD; a son William Herrman and his wife, Jeanette, of Parkville, MD; and was predeceased by her son, Walter Herrman. She also leaves behind, 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Margaret Herrman. She was also predeceased by three sisters and two brothers, Mary Martin, Kathryn Sauers, Margaret Chase, Frank Minson, and a brother who died as a child.
