Harriet Lillian Leatherman

August 15, 1927 — February 15, 2024

Harriet Lillian Leatherman, age 96, of Kingsville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones at home. She was born in Prince Frederick, Maryland, the cherished daughter of the late Harry and Mabel (Aro) Hutchins. Harriet was the beloved wife of the late Randall Wood Leatherman, to whom she was united in marriage in 1945.

A woman of deep faith and devotion, Harriet was a dedicated member of Edgewood Assembly of God for approximately 20 years. Her love for the Lord was evident in all aspects of her life, guiding her actions and nurturing her spirit. Harriet found joy in serving her family, particularly through her culinary talents, and she played a significant role in raising her grandchildren.

Harriet's passion for music was palpable, and she shared her gift with others as a member of the choir at Trinity Assembly of God in Lutherville for many decades. Her home was almost always filled with the sound of beautiful gospel and worship music.

Left to cherish her memory are her adoring sons, Larry (Debbie), Glenn (Kellie), and Wayne (Gwen) Leatherman; devoted daughter, Donna (Tom) Erhardt; loving daughter-in-law, Liz Akers; and dear sisters, Pearl Fowler, and Janet Mohler. Harriet's legacy lives on through her numerous grandchildren, Steven (Jodi), Joseph (Jennifer), Tammy (Marcus), Bill (Angie), Ryan, Glenn Jr. (Sandra), Michael (Taylor), Michelle, and Jason (Sarah), along with her 7 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Harriet was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mabel Hutchins, her beloved husband, Randall Leatherman, and her sisters, Doris Harryman, Annabelle Hutching, Zelma DeMarco, and Ruth Mobray.

In honor of Harriet's memory, contributions may be made to Edgewood Assembly of God, 803 Edgewood Road, Edgewood, MD 21040 https://www.edgewoodag.org/.

Harriet Lillian Leatherman will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her unwavering faith, kindness, and love will forever reside in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in eternal peace, singing with the angels in heaven.
