Harold Chester Phillips Sr.

HAROLD CHESTER PHILLIPS SR., age 70, of Aberdeen, MD, died on November 14, 2006 at Citizens Care Center, Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Lansing, NC, he was the son of the late William Harrison and Bessie Clyde Farmer Phillips. He was employed with Bata Shoe Company for 29 years as a string laster and then went on to work for William F. Wilke Construction. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty J. Phillips of Aberdeen, MD; one son, Harold C. Phillips Jr. of Aberdeen, MD; one daughter, Clara Leonetti of Delta, PA; three brothers, Ellis Phillips of Aberdeen, MD, Larry Phillips and Connolly Phillips both of Ashe County, NC; five sisters, Mae Greer, Ruby Hamm, Shirley Baugess, Jane Greer and Virginia Coldiron all of Ashe County, NC; and three grandchildren, Charles Phillips, Alicia Phillips and Justin McGuire all of Aberdeen, MD.
