Harold Charles Leiter, Sr., 86, of Spanish Fort, AL passed away on September 11, 2017 at his home at William F. Green Veteran Home. in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of Louis Richard and Florence Evelyn (Hettrick) Leiter. He was the husband, for 55 years, to the love of his life, the late Maryalice Leiter. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served his country in the Korean War. As Archery’s first family, he owned Hal’s Archery Tackle in Bel Air which started out in the basement of his home. He also worked at Lever Brothers from where he retired. A resident of Bel Air, he moved to Greenbackville, VA in 1987. From there, he moved to Florida to live in the community of Lake Wales where he worked for Sea World, a job he loved even though it took him 45 minutes to drive every day. He could do anything and was the most amazing handyman that anyone had ever met. He was well loved by everyone.
Mr. Leiter is survived by his children, Dlorah "Lori" Albrick (Christopher) of Spanish Fort, AL, Michael Leiter (Kathy), Jacqueline Schoen (Richard) and Harold Leiter, Jr. (Tina); grandchildren, Kenneth Leiter (Claire Eisner), Jason Leiter, Nicholas Stromberg (Jennifer Orsi), S. Alexander Schoen, Rachel Schoen (Patrick Mulholland), Aspen Albrick (Justin Houde) and Mikaela Albrick (Jackson Rogers); great-granddaughter, Lucy Stromberg; sister, Joyce D. Sommers; and brother, Glenn Franklin Leiter.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jacqueline Leiter, Robert Richard Leiter, Kenneth Lee Leiter, Arnold Allen Leiter and Donald Selby Leiter.
