Hank Offney

December 10, 1921 — February 4, 2010

Hank Offney, age 88, of Bel Air, MD, died on February 4, 2010 at Bel Air Health and Rehabilitation in Bel Air, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Tribull Offney. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground where he was a Ballistics Engineer. He was an active member of American Legion Post #39 in Bel Air and was an avid Republican Party Supporter. He enjoyed going to the Lexington and North Point Markets.

Mr. Offney is survived by his son, Charles E. Offney of Bel Air, MD; stepson, Michael Carmichael of Bel Air, MD; stepdaughter, Kelly Sharpley of Delta, PA; five grandchildren, Chelsea and Charles Offney of Bel Air, MD, Cary Carmichael of Bel Air, MD, and Chris and Kevin Corbin of Delta, PA; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Paula M. Offney and half brother, Robert C. Engelleiter.
