H. LESLIE MYERS, age 80, of Bel Air, Maryland, died at his home on April 8, 2003. Born on June 22, 1922 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Guy Franklin and Elva Golden Bosley Myers. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II and saw tours of duty in New Guinea and the Philippines. Upon his return, he worked as an accountant and married Mary Elizabeth Blocher on September 24, 1948. Working during the day and attending school diligently at night, he received his Bachelors of Science in Finance from the University of Baltimore in 1953 and then received his Law Degree from the University of Baltimore in 1956. The bulk of his working life saw him as a practicing attorney in Philadelphia at the world headquarters of Cigna, Inc. Upon his retirement, Mr. Myers and his wife settled in the Bel Air, Maryland area to be close to family. An avid reader, he took great pleasure in literature, music, and spending time with his family.
Mr. Myers is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary Elizabeth Blocher Myers; one son, Capt. Harry L. Myers, Jr., U.S.N. of Clifton, Virginia; three daughters, Nora Myers of Baltimore; Elva Mullin of Bel Air; Ellen Kliman of Hyattsville; four grandchildren, Benjamin Myers of Clifton, Virginia; Andrew Myers of Clifton, Virginia; Sean Mullin of Bel Air; and Erin Mullin of Bel Air.
Pallbearers will be: Harry Myers, Jr., Benjamin Myers, Todd Kliman, Sean Mullin, Don Myers, and Bernie Mullin.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Harford Hospice, 8003 Corp. Drive, Suite G, Baltimore, Maryland 21236 or to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 10946 Beaver Dam Road, Suite E, Hunt Valley, Maryland 21030.
