Grover "Moose" Kershner, age 83, of Forest Hill, MD passed away on May 17, 2012 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Spice, WV, he was the son of the late William Snowden Kershner and Virginia Elizabeth Good Scotten. He worked for Baltimore Gas and Electric Company as a Crew Leader for 37 years before retiring. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country during the Korean War. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Blenheim Lodge #102, Masonic Lodge #130 Susquehanna, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1952 and the Korean War Veterans Association. He traveled all over the States except for Alaska and North Dakota and also visited Korea, Bangkok, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and several islands.
Mr. Kershner is survived by his wife of 55 years, Norma Kershner (nee Preston) of Forest Hill, MD; sister, Alma Kirkendall of Aberdeen, MD; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Bernice Coyne and Flora Tucker.
