Gregory Hood Bowman

Gregory Hood Bowman, age 60, of Pylesville, MD passed away on December 28, 2016 surrounded by family and friends at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Dewey Hood and Geraldine L. (Troyer) Bowman. He always had an interest in horses and eventually went into horse training where it was said he was one of the best horsemen at "reading legs". He liked to trap shoot and go crabbing with his father, and always had a joke to tell. He was a member of the Maryland Horseman's Association and Maryland Jockey Club.

Gregory is survived by sister, Valerie Bowman Hopkins of Pylesville; nephew, Derek Hopkins of Pylesville; niece, Megan Hopkins of St. Augustine, FL; two great-nephews, Timothy K. Hopkins of Whiteford and Landon Morse of St. Augustine, FL; great-niece, Emma Hopkins of Whiteford; aunt, Carole Betz of Virginia Beach, VA; and his Race Track Family of Pimlico, Laurel, Timonium and Delaware.
