Granvel L. Colvin

Granvel L. Colvin, age 88, of Joppa, MD, passed away on February 18, 2014 at Citizens Care Center in Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Craigsville, VA, he was the son of the late Henry and Carrie Jackson Colvin and husband of the late Edna Mae Colvin. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served our country during WWII. He owned and operated his own tractor trailer, traveling through all of the United States. He was a member of Delta Chapel Church, was an avid gardener and loved his pets.

Mr. Colvin is survived by his daughters, Patricia Redemann, Nancy Ricci, Betty Simpson and Linda Huffman; many nieces and nephews; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brothers, Arther, Leonard and Murray Colvin; sisters, Mamie Sprouse and Stella McFaul; and other siblings.
