Grace Slaten

Grace Slaten, age 57, of Monkton, Maryland passed away on August 5, 2020 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, she was the daughter of Glen Roy Griffey and Grace Marie (Hagan) Ellis and wife of Edward Slaten, Sr. Grace loved her grandchildren and enjoyed playing cards and family gatherings. She loved sitting on the couch with her fan on full blast while watching her TV shows and playing with her grand kids. She also loved cooking home cooked meals, which by the way was the best ever. She would drop everything she was doing to come or go do something if you asked her to.

Grace is survived by her son, Edward Slaten, Jr. of Forest Hill, Md ; daughter, Amy Pierce of Monkton, Md; grandchildren, Noah Slaten, Luca Slaten, Logan Chapman, and Jason Slaten; two sisters, Rosemary Little and Delores Cox; and three brothers, Sam, Billy, and Ronnie Ellis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Donna White and Sue Ellis; and brothers, Mitchell and Paul Ellis, and Glen Griffey, Jr.
