GRACE ANNIE CROUSE, age 82, of Bel Air, died at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on July 20, 2004. Born in Sparta, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Corbett and Verna Brown Cox, and the wife of 57 years of the late Owen William Crouse. A resident of Harford County for 75 years, she had lived in Florida for 17 years in Orange City. She worked at Bel Air Glen Eagles sewing factory for many years, at the High’s Store in Bel Air, and at Fallston General Hospital. She enjoyed Bingo and going to Delaware Park.
Mrs. Crouse is survived by one son, William Owen Crouse, Sr. of Aberdeen; two daughters, Betty G. Spencer of Fallston; Alice Faye Simmons of Fallston; three sisters, Lena Wagg of Pylesville; Flora Barlow of Port Orange, Florida; Tressie Hutton of Street; seven grandchildren, Michael S. Spencer of Bel Air; Steven C. Spencer of Abingdon; Vickie L. Hook of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania; Roger A. Simmons of Fallston; Jennifer L. Mothershed of Havre de Grace; William O. Crouse, Jr. and Robert D. Crouse, both of Aberdeen; six great-grandchildren, Tyler R. Spencer ; Steven O. Spencer; Madison A. Spencer, all of Abingdon; Carly D. Spencer of Bel Air; Miranda L. Mothershed of Havre de Grace; and James M. Hook, IV of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one brother, Cernel C. Cox.
Pallbearers will be: Steven C. Spencer, Michael S. Spencer, Roger A. Simmons, William O. Crouse, Robert D. Crouse, and Jeremy Mothershed. Honorary pallbearer will be James Hook, III.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
