Gordon L. Lasley

GORDON L. LASLEY, age 78, of Edgewood, MD, died on May 28, 2008 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Kentucky, he was the son of the late Joseph Clarence and Mattie Franklin Robertson Lasley. A resident of Harford County since the 1950's, he worked in security all his life, including Aberdeen Proving Ground and Merry Go Round. He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War and a lifetime member of the Abingdon VFW. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to keep his yard beautiful.

Mr. Lasley is survived by his wife, Gladys L. Lasley of Edgewood, MD; three sons, Gordon L. Lasley Jr. and his wife, Bonnie Lee, of Bel Air, MD, Billy Joe Lasley and his fiancé, Nina M. Nichols, of Edgewood, MD, and Barry D. Lasley Sr. and his wife, Bonnie J., of Bel Air, MD; four brothers, Elbert Lasley of Radcliff, KY, Delbert Lasley, Dale Lasley, and Roy Lasley, all of Brandenburg, KY; seven sisters, Dorothy Pearl Eagle of Valley Station, KY, Corine Fowler of Sommerville, KY, Delsie Hart of Summit, KY, Doris Lawrence of Corydon, IN, Laverne Pyles of Brandenburg, KY, Barbara Jane Blankenship of Prattville, AL, and Mary Rose Wathen of Brandenburg, KY; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be William Lee Lasley, Christopher Young, Barry D. Lasley Sr., Jacob B. Lasley, and Barry D. Lasley Jr., and Carrie M. Lasley.
