Golden L. Sullivan, of Bel Air, MD, died at the age of 89 on November 24, 2016 at Lorien Bel Air. He was born in Charlottesville, VA to Golden L. and Mamie (Batten) Sullivan and was the husband of the late Dixie D. Sullivan and Jean L. Sullivan. He served our country in the 3rd Army Field Artillery division during WWII where he was stationed in Germany. He was employed, for 39 years, for Bethlehem Steel Company and worked for 2 years at Chesapeake and Ohio R.R. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, had a love for vegetable gardening and also enjoyed doing home improvements. During his life he traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and the world.
Survivors include his children, Gary Sullivan (Brenda) of Abingdon, Ron Sullivan (Gail) of Joppa and Gayle Sullivan (Veronica) of Belcamp; stepdaughters, Diania Bandy of North East, Teresa Jones and Joan Freburger both of Forest Hill; and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Debt Retirement, 206 Courtland Place, Bel Air, MD 21014.
