GLORIA WEHRMAN, age 71, of Forest Hill, died at her son’s residence in Bel Air of natural causes on May 14, 2003. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Kannler and the wife of the late Melvin J. Wehrman, Sr. She worked as a rural letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. She volunteered at Fallston General Hospital and Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, also volunteered with the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary for nearly 20 years. She dearly loved her grandchildren and spending time in Ocean City. She enjoyed planning the annual bus trip for the hospital volunteers.
Mrs. Wehrman is survived by one son, Mel Wehrman and his wife Jennifer Wehrman of Bel Air; one daughter, Cheryl Gallion and her husband, Michael Gallion of Forest Hill; one sister, Marie Schultheis of Abingdon; five grandchildren, Nicole and Michael Gallion of Forest Hill; and Emma, Sarah, and Katherine Wehrman of Bel Air. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one brother, Lawrence Kannler.
