Gloria Jean Palm (nee Minton), age 65, of Bel Air, MD, died on May 20, 2010 at her home. Born January 3, 1945 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Vernon and Elizabeth Katherine Huddleston Minton. Gloria loved to shop, especially on Highway 54 in Delaware. She was a bowler of duck and ten pins for many years. Employed by American Greetings Card Company for 25 years, she met many people while setting her displays. She and Bernie always enjoyed dancing-be it at Turner Hall, Rossville VFW, Bel Air Legion, or Giovanni's. Her music of the 50's and 60's was always heard in her home and car. Have music, Gloria will dance; Buddy Dean Dance Hops were her fun. She learned Country Line but still talked "Madison". In recent years her devotion to Kyle and Kory made her happiest.
Her husband and daughter wish to thank everyone who helped support Gloria during her lengthy illness.
Mrs. Palm is survived by her husband Bernard H. Palm Jr. of Bel Air, MD; daughter, Dawn Marie (Palm) Gavin of Bel Air, MD; brothers, Thomas, Alvin and wife, Carole Jean, Larry, and Walter Minton; sister, Rose Marie Richnow and husband, Tom; sister-in-law, Mary P. Malanowski; brothers-in-law, Thomas Palm and wife, Celeste, and Stephen Palm and wife, Nancy; grandsons, Kyle and Kory Gavin; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Palm was predeceased by her brother, Harold Minton and sister-in-law, Kathleen O'Conner.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made to Circle of Friends, c/o Donna Tenly, 309 Idlewild Road, Bel Air, MD 21014.
