Glenn Hankey, age 92, of Joppa, Maryland, passed away on April 30, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones in Joppa, Maryland. Born in Littlestown, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Mervin and Ethel (Eyler) Hankey and the beloved husband of Dorothy (Sealover) Hankey. Glenn proudly served his country in the US Army and was a dedicated longtime member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Glenn had a passion for gardening and took great joy in tending to his plants and raising chickens. He generously shared the fruits of his labor with his neighbors and church friends, providing them with fresh eggs and produce.
In addition to his wife, Glenn is survived by his daughter, Glenda M. (Mark) Louis; sons, Mervin E. Hankey and Steven M. Hankey; sisters, Viola T. Breighner, Emily Irene (Walter) Tracy, and Judy (Allen) Arntz; grandsons, Robert Louis, Matthew Louis, Timothy Louis, Michael Hankey, Jeremy Hankey, and Nathan Hankey; and great-grandson, Wilder Glenn Abbott-Louis.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Mervin and Ethel Hankey, his brother, John Hankey, and sisters, Esther Harner and Betty Hull.
