Glenn H. Mina

Glenn H. Mina, 65, of Jarrettsville, MD passed away on October 29, 2015 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, MD. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Hugo Ralph Mina and Jeannette Marie Petti Mina. He was a graduate of Cardinal O'Hara High School in Springfield, PA before serving his country in the U.S. Army. He joined the Harford County Sheriff's Office on December 11, 1972 and worked in K-9 patrol for 11 years, served as a Sheriff's Office liaison at the Detention Center before retiring as a Lieutenant on July 1, 2002 in Court Services Division. He returned as a civilian investigator retiring again in 2014. He loved deer hunting, was a huge NASCAR fan and enjoyed being with his grandchildren.

Mr. Mina is survived by his wife, Nancy J. Grimmel; sons, Raymond Mina (Megan) of San Francisco, CA, and Christopher Mina of Farmville, VA; step sons, Matthew Steiner (Mary) of Timonium and Todd Steiner (Amy) of Delta, PA; brother, Joseph J. Mina (Teresa) of Forest Hill; sister, Jeanmarie Mixell (Vance) of North Port, FL; grandchildren, Bella, Cashton and Lakkun Mina and Molly, Michaela, and Brooke Steiner; mother and father-in-law Bunk and Dixie Grimmel; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandson, Addison Mina.

Visitation will be held at McComas Funeral Home, Bel Air, MD on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-9 pm and on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Fellowship Chapel in Jarrettsville, MD from 10-11 am. Services will follow on Wednesday at Fellowship Chapel at 11 am. Interment will be at Jarrettsville Cemetery, Jarrettsville, MD.

Pallbearers will be Matt and Todd Steiner, Andrew Mina, Michael Onorato, John Bradford and Vance Mixell. Honorary pallbearer will be David Onorato.
