Gladys Proctor Maxwell

October 20, 1917 — January 31, 2010

Gladys Proctor Maxwell, age 92, of Forest Hill, MD, died on January 31, 2010 at her home. Born in Fallston, MD, she was the daughter of the late George Elwood and Bessie Irene Daughton Proctor and loving wife, for over 50 years, of the late Russell Maxwell. Known as Aunt Gladys to many, she was born and raised on a large dairy farm in the area known as the Upper Crossroads of Fallston, MD. She worked many years as a sales lady for the Hub Shoe Store and for a few years at Minderleins Furniture Store on Bond Street in Bel Air. She raised her daughter, Cari Sakell, and helped to raise her only grandchild, Cole Michael. Later on, everyone that knew her adored her caring and loving ways. God has received yet another angel in heaven and she will be greatly missed.

In addition to her daughter and grandchild, she is survived by her son-in-law, Louis Sakell; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Catherine Warfield, Dorothy Friend, and Helen Hess.
