Gladys Marie Simmons

GLADYS MARIE SIMMONS, age 85, of Aberdeen, died at Harford Memorial Hospital on June 21, 2005. Born in Hillsboro, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Calvin Lee and Ressie Marie Cutlip Blake and the wife of 25 years of the late Clinton A. Simmons. She enjoyed sewing and cooking and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Simmons is survived by two sons, James A. Simmons, Sr. of Bel Air and Carl C. Simmons of Edgewood; two daughters, Marie A. Simmons of Aberdeen and Linda L. Bainbridge of Campbellsburg, Kentucky; a brother, Charles Blake of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Susie Hipley of Baltimore and Ruth Brown of Cardiff; five grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two grandchildren, Robin Simmons and Tony Simmons.
