Gladys M. Bevins

GLADYS M. BEVINS, age 82, of Conowingo, MD, died on August 10, 2007 at Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Richmond, VA, she was the daughter of the late Courtland Meridith Morrissette and the late Surrender Louise Snellings Russell and wife of the late James Bevins. She enjoyed country and gospel music and liked sewing, doing crafts and Nascar. As a military wife she lived all over the world and traveled extensively.

Mrs. Bevins is survived by three children, Patricia L. Parks and her husband, Danny, of Conowingo, MD, Nathan C. Bevins and his wife, Brenda, of Lancaster, PA, and Leslie C. Turner and his wife, Deborah, of Bath, NY; a sister, Lillian “Cootsie” Kerlin of Richmond, VA; grandchildren, Jennifer N. Ziegler of Middletown, DE, Jasmine R. Bevins and Austin J.D. Bevins, both of Lancaster, PA, Kenneth McVey and Laurie McVey, both of Chestertown, MD, Robert Stanley of Missouri, Canty Turner III, Theresa Sulik and Tammy Cox, all of Richmond, VA, and Matthew Turner of Bath, NY; great grandson, Ethan Ziegler of Middletown, DE; and several other great-grandchildren, all who live out of state.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Canty S. Turner; two grandsons, James Daniel Parks and Jay Turner; a granddaughter, Deborah Stanley, and a brother Cortland Reginald Morrissette.
