GLADYS L. BROPHY, age 78, of Yardley, Pennsylvania, formerly of Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, died at her home on July 2, 2004. Born in Joppa, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Harry Wilburn and Mary Ellen Spicer Lewis, and the wife of the late John A. Brophy. She was a typesetter and was the owner and operator of Brophy Composition Service in Sinking Springs, Pennsylvania. She enjoyed being with her family and friends.
Mrs. Brophy is survived by two sons, Robert P. Brophy and his wife, Sherry of Annville, Pennsylvania; Kevin L. Brophy and his wife, Laura of Annville, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Nancy Brophy Oberreit and her husband, Douglas of Yardley, Pennsylvania; Karen Brophy Elbert and her husband, Michael of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey; one brother, George W. Lewis and his wife, Betty of Aberdeen; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one son, Ronald A. Brophy.
Pallbearers were: Kevin L. Brophy, Robert P. Brophy, Douglas E. Oberreit, R. Michael Ebert, Aaron Q. Brophy, and Chad A. Brophy. Honorary pallbearers were: Joseph Bolognese, and George Lewis.
