Gilbert Reed Jones

Gilbert Reed Jones, age 58, of Joppa, MD, died on May 29, 2011 at his home. Born in Chincoteague, VA, he was the son of the late Clifton Edmond and Elizabeth Widdowson Jones. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country during the Vietnam War. He worked as a Manager of Supply Services at GBMC for over 30 years, was an avid golfer and fisherman, and loved the Chesapeake Bay.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 33 years, Susan C. Gutwald Jones of Joppa, MD; son, Bryan Gilbert Jones of Rockledge, FL; daughters, Heather Renee Jones of Towson, MD and Sara Christine Jones of Joppatowne, MD; brother, Timothy Jones of Mt. Vernon, MD; sisters, Mari Lynn Nelson and Jeannie Mitchell of Princess Anne, MD, and Debbie Stonnell of Snow Hill, MD; and three grandchildren, Sevastia C. Denikos, Gilbert R. Jones-Denikos, and Brynn A. Denikos, all of Joppatowne, MD.
