Gertrude Agnoli, age 91, of Bel Air, MD passed away on December 3, 2012 at Stella Maris in Timonium, MD. Born in Honeycutt, NC, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Wesley and Esta Pansy Gouge Stanley and wife of the late Julius William Agnoli. Raised in Mitchell County, NC, she moved to Baltimore after high school. She attended the Georgia Maude Training School to study Cosmetology, and retired after more than 25 years of service in the industry. She also worked for a time at Martin Marietta during WWII. She was a former member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Gardenville and later became a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fullerton. More recently, she worshipped at St. Francis de Sales in Abingdon. Her family was the center of her life. She was also an avid gardener and loved to cook.
Mrs. Agnoli is survived by her daughter, Linda Agnoli Driessen and husband, Johannes, of Bel Air, as well as her grandson Scott William Driessen. Also surviving her, are brothers Herman Stanley of North East, William Stanley of Spruce Pine, NC, Gibbs and Earl Stanley both of Kirkwood, PA; sisters, Lola Morales of Columbia, SC, Helen Stanley Candler of Spruce Pine, NC, Evelyn Bennett of Bakersville, NC and Shirley Pittman of Spruce Pine, NC, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
