Geraldine S. Mccord Ferrara

GERALDINE S. “JERRI” McCORD FERRARA, age 66, of Forest Hill, MD, died on March 18, 2007, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD. Born on May 8, 1940 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Leon Filipkowski and the late Teresa Szymanowski Borowy. She attended Holy Rosary School and graduated from St. Michael’s Business School. She worked for the Savings Bank of Baltimore. Later, she worked for over ten years at Schemm Electric Company in Forest Hill, MD, where she was a secretary. She married Robert E. McCord in 1959 and Domenico Ferrara in 1992. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and a volunteer counselor at Birthright Pregnancy Center. She enjoyed reading, the Orioles, traveling, and spending time with her six grandchildren.

Mrs. Ferrara is survived by her husband, Domenico Ferrara of Forest Hill, MD; three sons, Robert S. McCord and his wife, Allison of Bel Air, MD, David G. McCord and his wife, Joanne of Forest Hill, MD, and Christopher T. McCord and his wife, Stacey of Bel Air, MD; two brothers, Alexander R. Filipkowski of White Marsh, MD, and David Filipkowski of Perry Hall, MD; and six grandchildren, Alexander McCord and Claire McCord of Bel Air, MD, Rachel McCord and Leanne McCord of Forest Hill, MD, and Luke McCord and Jackson McCord of Bel Air, MD.

Pallbearers will be Robert McCord, David McCord, Chris McCord, Alexander Filipkowski, David Filipkowski, and Alex McCord.
