Gerald "Jerry" Graumann

October 26, 1936 — April 11, 2024

Fallston, Maryland - Gerald "Jerry" Graumann, age 87, of Fallston, Maryland, passed away peacefully at his home on April 11, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Jerry was the beloved son of the late Harold Graumann and Margaret (Byrnes) Huizinga. He was the cherished husband of Barbara R. Graumann, with whom he shared a loving bond for over seven decades.

Jerry's life was deeply rooted in faith, family, and service to others. A devoted Catholic and a proud member of St. Mark Catholic Church, Jerry served his community in various capacities. He was a lector, a dedicated religious education instructor, and a Eucharistic minister. His commitment to his faith was unwavering, evident in his daily attendance at church until his health no longer permitted.

Professionally, Jerry made a significant impact in the corporate world, where he served as a branch manager in the office product industry for many years. Known for his integrity and leadership, Jerry held himself and his employees to the highest standards. In 1976, he transitioned to entrepreneurship, acquiring a small office products company in Baltimore. His dedication to excellence and advocacy for his employees remained steadfast throughout his career.

Family and faith were paramount in Jerry's life. He found joy in spending time with his loved ones, whether it was at home, on the golf course, or exploring the sandy shores of the Outer Banks. An avid golfer and member of Winters Run Golf Club since 1976, Jerry achieved the remarkable feat of two holes-in-one, a testament to his skill and passion for the sport.

Jerry's love extended beyond his immediate family; he was actively involved in his community as a Cub Scout Leader and sports coach, instilling values of teamwork and camaraderie in the youth he mentored. A devoted Orioles and Ravens fan, Jerry enjoyed sharing his passion for sports with others.

In addition to his wife, Barbara, Jerry is survived by his sons, Patrick (Shirley) Graumann and Daniel (Patty) Graumann; daughter, Kathleen (Michael) Sibiski; grandchildren, Eric (Heather) Gardiner, Colin Sibiski, Allison (Mark) Canning, Adam Graumann, Devin Sibiski, and Amanda Graumann; and sisters-in-law, Joan Huizinga, Diana Graumann, and Carol Scherer. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dennis Graumann, James Huizinga, and Harold Simonsen.

Jerry's legacy of love, faith, and service will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Mark Outreach Center, 2407 Laurel Brook Road, Fallston, MD 21047.
