Gerald "Reed" Correll, 58, of Darlington, Maryland, passed away peacefully at his home on February 28, 2024. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Reed was the beloved son of the late William and Myrtle (Holland) Correll. He was the devoted husband of Jacqui Correll, sharing 14 years of cherished companionship together.
Reed served his country proudly as a veteran of the U.S. Army and dedicated much of his professional life to serving his community. He worked diligently for MEMA and Harford County EOC, leaving a lasting impact through his dedication and service.
A man of faith, Reed was a valued member of Mountain Christian Church Aberdeen Campus, where he found solace and community. He had a passion for history, spending countless hours researching his ancestry and delving into the past. Reed found joy in the stories of old and had a particular fondness for war movies, which sparked his imagination and stirred his heart.
Above all else, Reed treasured his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Reed is survived by his devoted wife, Jacqui Correll, his beloved sons Shane Michael (Stephanie) Correll, Kenny Chris Correll, and Levi Joseph Correll, and his adored grandchildren, Lincoln and Lexi Correll. He is also survived by his sisters, Holly (Forest) Stiltner, Valerie (Dave) Graham, his brother Murray (Rose) Correll, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
In honor of Reed's memory, contributions may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306 a cause that was close to his heart.
