Gerald "Gerry" Bullis

August 2, 1953 — October 18, 2024

Fallston

Gerry Bullis, of Fallston, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He can be remembered as a loving husband to Linda, father to David (Lindsey), and granddad to his two beautiful granddaughters, Emmalyn and Madelyn.

He retired from Amtrak Track Maintenance 11 years ago and spent every day of his retirement to the fullest. He had so many hobbies that enriched his life. He was an avid gardener, woodworker, builder, carver, artistic painter, and had many other hobbies. Because of his love for nature and the outdoors, he and Linda were avid hikers in many State and National Parks.

 Gerry volunteered with many organizations and participated in many activities. He was the coach for his son’s little league baseball and soccer teams. He participated with events in his son’s school. He was a 4-H Club Leader, 4-H Horticulture Coach for the Harford County team who eventually went on to the National Championship. At the County Farm Fair, he was the indoor superintendent of the vegetable entries that his son David judged. He was a Harford County Master Gardener and shared his expertise by providing local classes on seed starting, raising berries, and propagation. As a Ladew Topiary Garden volunteer, he provided walking and golf cart tours of the gardens to many visiting groups. He also helped maintain the nature trail and monitored the bluebird trail birdhouses. He was a supporter of the Humane Society of Harford County and welcomed many foster kittens into their home. He was a man of many talents and was a mentor to many.

He will be greatly missed by those lives he touched.

He requested no viewing or services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Humane Society of Harford County, 2208 Connolly Rd, Fallston, MD 21047
