Georgia F. Hodsdon

Georgia F. Hodsdon, of Abingdon, MD, died at the age of 75 on September 18, 2016. She was born in Portage, PA to Edward Paul and Helen (Polk) Verish and was the wife, for 52 years, of the late Waldron Price Hodsdon. She was an amazingly strong woman with a sarcastic sense of humor. Her strength allowed her to take on many challenges even running for congress as a young mother of three. She served as the Director of Administration for Harford County from 1983-1990 during the Freeman Administration. She passed her strength on to a new generation of strong men and women.

Survivors include her son, Michael C. Hodsdon (Roberta) of Robbinsville, NJ; her daughters, Carole Hodsdon Bricker(Dave) of Canton, CT and Mary F. Grimm (Gerhard) of Bel Air; her brothers, Edward Verish Jr. and Kenneth Verish; her sister, Leona Brooks; and her grandchildren, Christopher and Katherine Grimm, Elizabeth and Jennifer Hodsdon, and David and Elyse Bricker.
