Georgette Juliette Burkhardt

Georgette Juliette Burkhardt, age 84, of Belcamp, MD, died on October 21, 2010 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Paris, France, she was the daughter of the late Charles George and Juliette Godfroy Germain and wife of the late John Charles Burkhardt. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 17, life member of Ladies Auxiliary VFW 5337, and retired Enlisted Association National Auxiliary. A member of Grace United Methodist Church, she was an avid Pinochle player, loved knitting and being with her family and grandchildren.

Mrs. Burkhardt is survived by her sons, Daniel K.C. Burkhardt of Abingdon, MD, William R. Burkhardt of Columbus, GA, Michael A. Burkhardt of Keedysville, MD and John C. Burkhardt Jr. of Key West, FL; daughters, Patricia J. Falany of Ocean Springs, MS and Linda S. Martin of Belcamp, MD; brother, Andre Germain of Paris, France; sisters, Jeanette Bruce of Hinesville, GA and Jeanine Germain of Paris, France; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Richard A. Burkhardt; a daughter, Elizabeth Burkhardt; three brothers; one sister; and a granddaughter, Lauren Martin.
