GEORGE WILLIAM RUNYON JR., age 44, of Bel Air, MD, died on May 29, 2007 at St. Joseph Medical Center, Towson, MD.
Born October 23, 1962 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of George W. Runyon Sr. and Cynthia A. Runyon of Forest Hill, MD and Wanda G. Woodal and Tommy A. Woodal of Needmore, PA. Mr. Runyon worked for over 25 years as an Emergency Medical Technician and Dispatcher. He was employed by Ameri-CARE Ambulance and previously by American Ambulance owned by his late grandfather, Willie Runyon. He was a loving father and devoted husband who will be remembered by his friends and family as a good hearted man who would help anyone and could always make you laugh. He was a member of Bel Air United Methodist Church where he had served as a Mid-High and Sr. High Youth Group leader, confirmation mentor and in the clowning ministry. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, detailing his truck, playing horseshoes and cards, riding four wheelers on the trails in West Virginia, going to the beach and spending time outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 23 years, Kimberly Dawn Rinehart Runyon of Bel Air, MD; two children, Kevin M. Runyon and Ashley N. Runyon, both of Bel Air, MD; two brothers, D. Scott Runyon and his wife, Valerie, of Joppatowne, MD and Mark J. Runyon of Needmore, PA; three sisters, Bridgett L. Runyon-Akers and her husband, Keith, of Bel Air, MD, Nicole R. Grimmett of Needmore, PA and Tanya L. Hudler and her husband, Allen, of Forest Hill, MD; paternal grandmother, Mildred Runyon of Forest Hill, MD; maternal grandmother, Hilda Hejl of Needmore, PA; eleven nieces and nephews; father and mother-in-law, James and Judith Rinehart of Churchville, MD; and brother-in-law, Mark A. Rinehart of Okeechobee, FL. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Willie Runyon and Dale Harvey.
