George Tilghman Johnson

George Tilghman Johnson, age 83 of Bel Air, MD, formerly of Locust Point, passed away on March 25, 2016 at Seasons Hospice at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Richard T. Johnson and Barbara Schaechtel. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked for Domino Sugar in Baltimore as an instrument mechanic before retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Bel Air American Legion Post.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 57 years, Helen V. (Woehlke) Johnson; sons, Mark T. Johnson of Bel Air and David B. Johnson of Frederick; sister, Mercedes West of Parkville; and grandchildren, Andrew T., Elizabeth K., Christian M. and Ethan M. Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four siblings.
